The 69-year-old has attracted criticism from the British press for taking U.S. citizenship in 2000 and moving to Santa Monica, California while retaining his knighthood and title. The media will always be up to something writing at will about you, but a senior star like Anthony Hopkins doesn?t need to react to such statements. This is a free world and we are the citizens of the entire world so we may also please to live where ever we?d like to. What about big sports star, who flee their native country just to evade higher taxes, why not pull them up? A classic example is Former Wimbledon winner and German tennis star Boris Becker, he had to pay high taxes for his earnings in Germany so he left the country so as to save money. He hasn?t robbed Britain of anything has he? He merely choose to live in a place where he is working but natural this is.
