Well it?s certainly no secret why The View is in need of a new host. Most of us have seen or heard about the bitter fight between Rosie and Elisabeth last spring. Even though Rosie still had three weeks left with the show she never did come back after that day. There has been a series of co-hosts since then. Rumor has it that the show wants a big name star that can help keep the ratings up like O?Donnell did. Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd are named as the top two in negotiation for a spot on The View. Shepherd has guest hosted on the show five times this month already and seems to be an audience favorite though nothing has been confirmed. It looks as if the producers may want to throw some ethnic diversity back into the show. Both Shepherd and Goldberg are black and The View has not had a black host since Star Jones left. No matter who they hire I doubt it will really matter. I?m sure the audience will be the same housewives and stay at home moms that it?s always been.
