Actor Freeman gets Mandela role

Actor Morgan Freeman is to play former South African president Nelson Mandela in forthcoming film The Human Factor. The 70-year-old actor will co-produce the film, which is based on John Carlin’s book of the same name. Why not have an active role for Mr. Mandela himself and ask him to play himself in a movie, na na Hollywood actors are looking for strong roles for themselves so they have a short at the Oscars each year. It?s fine that some author has written a book on an eminent political personality and then when the book sells when Hollywood just goes and takes the book ask a script writer to make it into a film version and make big bucks from the name of the personality. The film is being made by Freeman’s production company, Revelations Entertainment, with a script by South African writer Anthony Peckham. Is there some kinda dirt in Hollywood for script writers, Hollywood is churning out sequels to previous hits and taking books to make movies but can?t make something original for Morgan Freeman to show off.
