Academy-winning Woody Allen to direct LA Opera

New York-based filmmaker Woody Allen is to direct a Los Angeles Opera production later this year. Why would an Academy Award winning director wanna direct a LA Opera? Folks, Hollywood are not churning well enough scripts for the man to get interested and then what?s bad with having a profile that includes directing a LA Opera. ?I have no idea what I am doing,? Allen said in a statement Thursday. ?But incompetence has never prevented me from plunging in with enthusiasm.? Well there in lay the answer, there ain?t any scripts that could excite the three time Oscar winner and may be there is something that could excite the direct give the on stage actors a shot behind the camera as well.
