Al Pacino picks up lifetime award

In a glittering ceremony Hollywood actor Al Pacino was honored by the American Film Institute’s highest honour, its lifetime achievement award. After receiving the award he said “It means so many things to be honoured like this,” the Godfather star, 67, said at a gala reception in Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre. “It feels great”. There was also a lighter side in his speech which is almost customary from the actor. He has a wicked sense of humor that has his fans go gaga over his acting and performance skills. Later, he joked: “Seeing my life in the movies, I have one question, and that is: Why aren’t I in rehab?” He is definitely one of the all time greats and his character Michael Corleone in the Godfather movies was captivating. Many a times it is viewed that once a actor receives a life time achievement award it marks the culmination of his carrier but actors like Al Pacino would definitely prove it as otherwise. They are the breed that will mark it as a stepping stone for better performances in future. We love him and his humor, great going man!
