The midwife to Gisele Bundchen said the supermodel worked hard during a childbirth last year she described as painless.
Deborah Allen said Bundchen remained strong and focused on her breathing while giving birth to Benjamin at her Boston home on December 8.
Allen said the presence of love assisted Bundchen with the work of giving birth, the Boston Herald reported. Bundchen and husband Tom Brady went for a natural water birth.
“She reported no pain in childbirth. However, it was work. I would say that Gisele was so aware of the presence of love that she had no fear,” Allen said.
Allen, who has assisted in 200 water births, added: “Gisele gave birth the way she lives her life – well-informed, trusting, ready for adventure and having prepared her body and mind for many years.”
Lucy Punch’s burgeoning career got another boost with the announcement she will star opposite Cameron Diaz in Bad Teacher.
Punch, 32, is an up-and-coming actress who is shooting Woody Allen’s You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger in place of Australian superstar Nicole Kidman.
Punch has now been cast with Diaz in the black comedy to be directed by Jake Kasdan that is scheduled to start shooting next month in Los Angeles.
Punch and Diaz in Bad Teacher square off as two teachers who exemplify rebel and model. Diaz plays the rebel who goes after a colleague on the rebound from a sugar daddy.
Punch next appears in the Jay Roach’s Dinner for Schmucks in July. You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger is set for a September release.
Rafael Ramos walked into a Citibank branch in New York last week, hoping to impersonate the rock singer Paul Simon and walk out with the contents of his bank account. With a forged driver’s license and social security number in hand, he walked up to the teller to ask for his money. Maggie, 32, who is married to actor Peter Sarsgaard, became a mum for the first time when her daughter Ramona was born in October 2006.
Talking about her life since becoming a mum, she said: “Everything in my life has changed completely.
“My daughter was almost two when I made this movie [Crazy Heart] and I kind of got to this place where I felt like: ‘I am also me. I am also an actress.’

Mel B has said it’s ‘very exciting’ that there is going to be a Spice Girls musical.
The 34-year-old star confirmed all five girls are excited about the plans.
She said: “Yes… Simon Fuller and us teamed up with Judy Craymer, who did Mamma Mia!, and yeah we’re doing a Spice Girls musical. It’s gonna be very exciting.”
Asked if they are in it for the money, she said: “No, we’ve been wanting to do something like that for quite some time now. And Simon Fuller kind of got it all together.”
However, Mel said the original band members, herself, Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, will not be appearing in the musical.

Actress America Ferrera will no longer be starring in the hit TV show Ugly Betty – because the hit show has been cancelled, according to reports.
The ABC comedy-drama revolves around the life of Betty Suarez, played by Ferrera, 25.
The show, which is currently in its fourth season, will reportedly end with a 20th episode in April.
ABC head Steve McPherson said: “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing it now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion.”
He added: “We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”
Scream star David Arquette has criticised a blogger who claimed his wife Courteney Cox looks as though she has put on weight.
The blogger – an NY Times writer who was covering the recent Golden Globes event – suggested that actresses Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Cox, 45, all appeared to have put on some weight after seeing them on the red carpet.
Talking about the piece, Arquette, 38, who has a five-year-old daughter, Coco, with the Cougar Town star, said: “I don’t think that has anything to do with anything.”
He added: “Who really cares? I love round people, I love skinny people.
“I love people in general; we’ve got to get past labels and stop being so critical about everything.”
