The mum-of-three, who is married to actor Matthew Broderick, told UK magazine Stella: “I try to dress appropriately for my age and I’m a realist about what I look like. “But if those physical things were my insecurities I’d be thrilled. What wonderful problems.â She added: “My insecurities are more substantial than that. I worry first and foremost about my children and their health, my husband and his [health]. I worry about what work opportunities will come up.” The I Donât Know How She Does It star, who was once voted the âunsexiest woman aliveâ by menâs magazine, Maxim, added that she doesn’t approve of cosmetic surgery. Former child star Tatum O’Neal reveals she once had a schoolgirl crush on the actor Dustin Hoffman and wanted to marry him. The Paper Moon star says she used to go to star-studded parties at Mengersâ home when she was still a teen and âfell in loveâ with the Tootsie star at one of the talent agentâs dinner parties. “At one of her dinners, when I was 13, I fell in love with Dustin Hoffman,” OâNeal tells the US magazine. “I was seated next to him and, for some reason, he found it really interesting to talk to me. “I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to marry him. He’s my new boyfriend’. Sue could sense my schoolgirl crush and promised she’d set up a movie for the two of us.” O’Neal, whose father is Love Story actor Ryan OâNeal, adds that Hoffman wasnât the only Hollywood legend she met at Mengersâ parties. “In those early days, you could (and I did) meet Michael Caine, Robert De Niro after he made Taxi Driver, Barbra Streisand, Gene Hackman, Diane von Furstenberg, and even Princess Margaret.” Mengers stopped throwing parties and quit the business when her husband died in 1996, according to O’Neal. But she says celebrities still continued to visit the Hollywood matriarch. “Once, I walked in and someone pulled out a chair for me. It was Tom Cruise,â she recalls. “I looked across the room and saw Jon Hamm and Jennifer Lopez. It was unbelievable to me that even in her late seventies she [Mengers] was pulling this off.”

Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto has said a gay teenager’s suicide motivated him to come out. Quinto, who is best known for playing Spock in the 2009 film reboot of Star Trek, says he is gay. In a blog post on his official website, the 34-year-old explained why he decided to come out after hearing about the suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer, a gay teen from Buffalo, New York. Jamey took his own life back in September, just months after making a video clip for the ‘It Gets Better’ project, a campaign that is aimed at preventing suicide among bullied gay teens. Quinto, who also made an ‘It Gets Better’ video, said: “In light of Jamey’s death, it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality.” He said he was ‘eternally grateful’ to Rodemeyer for acting as the catalyst that made him want to come out. He added: “Now I can only hope to serve as the same catalyst for even one other person in this world.”
His artwork can fetch up to $100 million but how much will his car be worth? Pop artist Andy Warhol’s brown Rolls Royce is to go under the hammer at Bonhams auctioneers in January. It was sold by the artist’s family a year later and has had two owners since. It comes with a copy of the original New York Certificate of Title bearing Warhol’s name.
Kate Middleton has reportedly turned to snacking to help get her body baby-ready. The Duchess of Cambridge dropped from a UK size 10 to a size 6 after getting engaged to Prince William last year. Now she has apparently managed to get back up to a size eight in an effort to get her body healthy before starting a family. âKate Middleton knows people have been making unkind remarks,â a source told Now magazine. âSheâs tried all sorts of approaches but nothing seemed to work. Now sheâs finally found the solution and itâs one that any woman would kill for: snacking. âHer philosophy is that every time sheâs offered a biscuit or a sweet treat she says âyesâ. âSheâs gone up a dress size and is now an 8. She and Prince William are yearning for a baby. They feel ready. Kateâs read dozens of books on the subject and knows she needs to take care of her health.â

Elizabeth Olsen has revealed that she almost gave up on her acting dreams after seeing her famous sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley struggle with the pressures of fame. The 22-year-old actress, who says she grew up in “such a normal family” where “the idea of being an actor was always a realistic thing”, tells Nylon magazine that she saw the media being “abusive” to her twin sisters, especially when Mary-Kate sought help in rehab. “I thought I really didn’t want to be in this industry,” she tells the US magazine. “They turned 18 and what was going on in her life â I’m talking about Mary-Kate â was all over the news and I didn’t want to be a part of it. I just thought, ‘This is such b*******’.” The Martha Marcy May Marlene star â who poses in a Chanel jacket and denim shorts on the cover of the magazineâs October issue â credits her father for keeping the family grounded â and for ensuring that she never became jealous of her super-successful siblings. âI have to attribute the way I have always looked at it to my father, because he was a really good influence on us,” she says. “It was always very important to him that his daughters be financially independent. He wanted us to know that we could take care of ourselves, because he never liked the idea of us needing a man.â She adds: “And witnessing how my sisters can take care of themselves financially was a great model to have. I consider myself lucky to have such a normal family.â

The Extra host said he wants to see Bono, 42 – the son of singer Cher – take the trophy at the end of the show, despite the fact it hasn’t even started yet. Even though dresses she wears sell out hours after she has worn them, experts at New York Fashion Week say Kate Middleton is not a trendsetter. The Duchess of Cambridge is just a ‘style follower’ and not a fashion icon, say fashion experts in the Big Apple. Gregg Andrews, a fashion director at leading US department store chain Nordstrom, said: “She is stylish, but she is not setting trends, sheâs following trends. “If you take Kate out of the Royal Family, put her on a street in New York, you wouldnât look at her twice. Sheâs a beautiful woman, but she blends into a crowd.” One leading journalist said that Middleton was the very opposite of fashionable and people only notice what she wears because of her royal status. Elle fashion news director Anne Slowey said: “Is she a style icon of the likes of a Kate Moss? Absolutely not. Is she in the public eye? Are people going to become obsessed with everything she wears regardless of what it is? Yes.” According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, Ken Downing, fashion director of department store Neiman Marcus, added: “Is she iconic at the moment? Time will tell. She’s certainly influential. In the position that she’s in you can’t be simply stunning as she is and not have influence.”

Reps for the Jenny From the Block singer did not comment but Cooper’s rep responded with: “They were meeting for business, regarding a project.”

The daughter of Jackie O admitted that she was sometimes the heroine in the stories – which often featured ponies and her cousin, Stevie. âMy father was spectacular at making up stories and he used to tell me about a purple shark,â she said. âHe said that there was a purple shark that used to follow the Honey Fitz,â added Caroline referring to the Presidential Yacht. âThe shark would follow the boat and eat socks,â she said.
